Club meetings


Each team MUST have a coach or an assistant coach at every club meeting. If a coach can not attend the meeting he/she must notify the SSC President by phone prior to the meeting as to who will be attending the meeting in their place for voting purposes.

Referees

All teams must provide a list of at least 3 referees who have a current referee license and capable of refereeing games, to the referee coordinator.

For each home game your team plays, you will be assigned to referee a club game.

It is your team’s responsibility to make sure your referee assignment is covered.

All new referees must also referee at least 5 Recreation games during the next 2 seasons or they will not be eligible to be approved to coach the following year.

All referees who received their license last season and have not completed their 5 Recreation games must do so this season or they will not be eligible to coach next year.

Octo clean up day

All teams must have at least 2 people attend and work on clean up day. It is their responsibility to sign in for your team to get credit. Each person can only sign in for 1 team. Each team’s representative must be at least 15 years old and must include at least 1 adult. Teams that do not meet the requirements will be fined $250. All money collected from fines will be used for equipment and field maintenance.

SSC hosted tournaments

1st weekend in August: Solano Summer Classic Division 3 tournament. All division 3 teams are expected to participate in this tournament.

2nd weekend in August: SSC Division 1 Tournament. All division 1 teams are expected to participate if there age group is available.

No team is allowed to play out of town on these 2 weekends as all teams must help work the tournaments. All teams will be given jobs for the tournaments and must attend tournament meetings. Teams not fulfilling their tournament duties will be fined.

Practice sites and days

All teams will provide the field coordinator with a list of day’s, times and location of practice sites for approval. Once approved, no team can change without first getting approval. No team is allowed to practice or have a scrimmage game at Octo without first getting approval from the field coordinator.

Scrimmage games

Any team having a scrimmage game with a team from outside SSC but within District 6 must notify the SSC President and FSYSL President prior to the scrimmage. If having a scrimmage game with a team from outside District 6 you must get approval from the FSYSL President prior to the scrimmage game. Please allow at least 2 weeks for this approval process.

Field setup & take down

Any team having the first game of the day must set up the field, nets, flags etc.

Any team having last game of the day must take down the field and put away all equipment (nets, flags, etc.) into the SSC club storage container. Any team who does not take down their field will be fined $250. All money collected from fines will be used for equipment and field maintenance.

Garbage

All teams need to make sure that they pick up all garbage on and around the field they are playing at whether at home or away.

Publicity

All teams can send in a game report to the Publicity coordinator to be submitted to the newspaper.

Team budget

Each team must submit a budget for the season to the SSC President along with a copy of their working roster. U10 thru U14 due by April 1 and U15 thru U19 due by June 1.

Medical consent

You must have a signed medical consent form for every player with you at all practices, games and tournaments. A CYSA 1601 form or other medical consent form is necessary. A photo copy is not acceptable as it must have a wet signature.

Try Outs

Each team is expected to help at try outs. Either coaches or parent volunteers may help.

Metro League, division 3 teams

Each coach must attend a mandatory district 6 coaches meeting prior to the start of the season to receive your team schedule and Metro rules. If a player or coach receives a Red Card during a league game you must notify the SSC Metro rep. within 24hrs. If the Red Card is in a tournament and the player or coach pass is not returned to you, you need to contact the SSC President and FSYSL President to ensure that you get the pass back. Any player or coach receiving a Red Card, must have a sign off sheet completed and signed by the referee for the games you are ineligible for play.

Playing League, division 1 teams

If a player or coach receives a Red Card in a league game you must notify the SSC Playing League rep. within 24hrs. If the Red Card is in a tournament and the player or coach pass is not returned to you, you must contact the SSC President and FSYSL President to ensure that the pass(s) is returned. Any player or coach receiving a Red Card, must have a sign off sheet completed and signed by the referee for the games you are ineligible for play.

Treasurer Procedures

1. On June 30th each team will be assessed the club team fee of $200
2. All deposits require a deposit form to be completed to assure proper credit to team and or players.
3. Check reimbursement or payment requires an expense form to be completed with receipts. Some types of check requests can be done by email. Check requests submitted at club meetings can be given out at the end of the meeting, time permitting. Check requests and deposits can be left in the box on the treasurer’s porch and picked back up when ready.
4. Each team will insure that their account balance is positive at all times. If a team account goes into a negative no more check requests will be honored.
5. Check requests can only be made by the coach or their designated team manager.
6. Each team will be given a monthly statement at the monthly club meeting. You need to check your statement for accuracy.
7. All money collected from players and sponsors is to be deposited into the club account. No team is allowed to have a slush fund/petty cash, etc. of any type. All money is to be used for items related to the team functioning in FSYSL, SSC, District 6 and CYSA. No funds will be used for US Club Soccer.
8. The team must have money in team account to pay for uniforms upon delivery.

US Club Soccer

SSC has no affiliation with US Club Soccer. If you choose for your team to participate in US Club Soccer you can. All funds to participate in US Club Soccer must be kept separate and will not be entered into to your SSC account. Parents must be told that they are two separate organizations. Teams are not allowed to wear there SSC uniforms when participating in US Club functions. You can not make it mandatory for players from your SSC team to play on a US Club team.

NO ANIMALS, NO ALCOHOL, NO TOBACCO at any of the fields or schools.
